About TCN - AIYEP Australian Coordinator

TCN The Communications Network is a niche consultancy in project management, marketing and corporate communications. Established in Adelaide in January 1995, it works on projects nationally and overseas.

TCN director Deane Edgecombe has extensive, senior-level experience with government and the private sector, in both consulting and managerial roles, in the fields of community relations, business communications, issues management and trade promotion.

His focus at TCN is on project management, cross-cultural engagement and the Australia-Indonesia relationship.

He’s a past state chair and national director of the Australia-Indonesia Business Council; played an instrumental role in brokering South Australia’s ties with West Java and helped develop an English language training course for civil servants in that province; served for 6 years on the Board of the Council for International Trade and Commerce SA and formerly was an Advisory Board Member of the Centre for International and Cross-cultural Studies at the University of SA.

He’s marketed and managed a number of trade, investment and cultural missions to Indonesia, Malaysia, the US and NZ.

In 2000 he was appointed the Indonesian Honorary Consul in South Australia and later initiated the highly successful INDOfest which showcases the Indonesia-South Australia relationship.

Since 2002, through TCN, he’s been Australian supervisor of the annual Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program for the Australia-Indonesia Institute in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Canberra, and is also engaged by DFAT to manage visit programs in Australia for delegations from Asian countries as part of the department's regional communities outreach program.

TCN Consultant, Sarah Bennett, provides program support for AIYEP, manages the AIYEP website, designs marketing/promotional material and coordinates the program's mid–visit break each year. Sarah has over 20 years experience delivering creative and strategic design solutions for print and online communications and marketing for all levels of government, small to medium business and corporate organisations. Sarah Bennett's other services include creative design for logos, corporate branding, signage, advertising, banners; printing and publication work including newsletters, annual reports, magazines, fliers, business cards, stationery, brochures, wine labels, packaging, posters, postcards; websites and online solutions from simple websites to fully integrated online business solutions supporting e-commerce, email marketing and customer relationship management; database development and management to keep track of people, products and projects.
